She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Gabbard and Rose Napier Hacker; her husband Cyle Bolen; her stepfather Cecil "JC" Hacker; her brother Donald Gabbard; and her nephew Michael Gabbard.

She is survived by: her children, Karyn Fitzpatrick Franks (James), James Ryan "Jim" Fitzpatrick and Brad Kyle Bolen; her sister-in-law Gaye Gabbard; her grandchildren, Riley (Isaac), Reagan, Brenna (Luke), Brody and Braden; her great grandchild Miles; and her close friend Joyce Napier.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Hazard, KYIn lieu of flowers the family request donations to KY River Regional Animal Shelter.
