With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary L. Jent of Hazard, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carson Jent and Carolyn Lewis Jent; his sister Angela Jent; and his granddaughter Erica. He is survived by: his wife Anna Jent; his children, Allison Ritchie of Rowdy, KY, Gary Gerome Jent (Crystal) of Viper, KY and Eric Jeremy Jent of Viper, KY; his stepdaughters, Jamie Melton (Josh) of Viper, KY and Kimberly Ritchie (Steve) of Big Creek, KY; his sisters, Valerie Meredith (Terry) and Anita Jent (Danny); his grandchildren, Hannah, Heather, Navaeh, Megan, Christopher and Larry; and his great grandchildren, Keegan and Kaleb.
A reception was held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the View Chapel (352 Roy Campbell Dr, Hazard, KY 41701).
