Though Gerald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gerald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Edward and Jewell Francis Koontz (Hicks). He is survived by: his wife Peggy Koontz (Eversole); his children, Ronelia Gruber, Keesha Ray (Gregory) and Charles Koontz (Angela); his grandchildren, Kristen Koontz, Brooklynn McIntosh (Matthew), Brayden Koontz and Alexa Gruber; his brother Kevin Koontz (Deborah); and his uncle Gary Koontz (Julie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church (224 Ramsey St, Monticello, KY 42633). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
