He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Smith and Ada Stidham Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Smith and Ken Munson. He is survived by: his daughter Catina Bird (Marc); his grandson Kage Baker (Haley); his great grandchild Oaklee Kreed Baker; and his siblings, Donald Ray Smith (Janet), Lawrence Smith of Indianapolis, IN, Troy Smith, Jr. (Harriet), Brenda Fields (Jimmy), Charlene Smith of Indianapolis, IN and Michelle Munson of Murrysville, PA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other relatives & friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home (301 E Main St, Hazard, KY 41701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
