James Sexton Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of James Sexton (Hazard, Kentucky) is shared. James, born on December 23, 1959, passed away on August 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Homer Sexton; his brother Tim Sexton; and his grandparents, Mack, Ritt Callahan, Lizzie and Howard Sexton.
He is survived by: his mother Bonnie Lou Sexton; his siblings, Deborah Callahan Manis, Ketrina Sexton, Ricky Sexton (Vickie), Joshua Sexton and Colson Cornett (Rosetta); his nephews, Steven Cornett, Barry Cornett, Derek Cornett, Logan Sexton and Trey Sexton; and his niece Stephanie Sexton. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home (301 E Main St, Hazard, KY 41701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
