He was predeceased by: his parents, John Earl Edwards, Sr. and Georgia Ann Johnson; and his sister Charlotte Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Elsea Edwards of Hazard; his children, John Mitchell Edwards of Hazard and Shannon Francis of Alpharetta, GA; his siblings, Michael Edwards of Floyd Co, Jeff Edwards and Susan Ratliff of Hyden, KY; and his grandchildren, Bethany Paige Edwards, Preston Edwards, John Bentley Edwards, Alexandria Edwards, Grayson Edwards and Jack Francis.
