He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil "Pete" Smith and Sylvia Hamilton Smith. He is survived by: his brother Charles Smith (Becky) of Hazard, KY; his nieces, Sabrina Smith (Billie) of Hazard, KY and Holly Smith (Johnny) of Hazard, KY; and his great-niece Luna Flannery.
