He was predeceased by: his parents, Cadie Whitaker and Katherine Begley Whitaker; and his former wife Peggy Lea Snider Whitaker. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Lynne Whitaker; his children, Harvey Wesley Whitaker (Kristen), Samuel Robert Whitaker (Scott), Sondra Victoria Smith (Joseph) and Julie Ann Campbell (Justin); his sister Virginia Williams; his grandchildren, Brooklynn Whitaker, Layla, Lilly and Logan Smith; and his sibling's children, Pam Davis, Nancy Williams and Tony Pridemore (Bobby).
