She is survived by : her son Lawrence Irvin Cole Lawson; her stepchildren, Landen Lawson and Kilee Lawson; her siblings, Charlene Williams and Lyndon Gayhart (Theresa); her nieces and nephews, Aaron Campbell, Cody Gayhart, Brandon Gayhart, Danielle Ashley, Sabrina Blank, Kailey Gayhart and Tess Combs; and her close friend Christy Warfield.

“Samantha and I caught the school bus together many mornings at the mouth of laurel. She was always such a nice person that everyone liked. She sure will be missed but she had Jesus in her heart which brings me comfort because I know she's with him.”
