Sidney Hurt Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on April 6, 2022, at the age of 90, Sidney Hurt of Hazard, Kentucky passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sidney Hurt to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elisha Hurt and Lula Harvey Hurt; his wife Mary Lena Napier Hurt; and his siblings, Lawrence, Albert, Taylor, Arnold and Mildred McGinty.

He is survived by: his children, Sarah C. Styer (Brent) of Lexington, KY and Sidney Lynn Hurt (Natausha) of Mystic, CT; his siblings, Florence Weber, Marie Combs, Zora Sexton (Roscoe) of Hazard, Marshall Hurt (Delores) and Wilbert Hurt (Jan) of Hazard; his grandchildren, Corey Alexander Hurt, Sydney Taylor Hurt and Jacob Decker Styer; and his niece Cheryl Spurlock Lusk. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family & friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators of Hazard, KY or the National Aphasia Association.
