He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Arnett and Beatrice Roark Arnett; and his son Eric Shane. He is survived by: his caregiver Doris Stacy of Hazard; his son Errol Scott (Christi); his brothers, Larry (Mary) and Lonnie (Benita); his granddaughters, Brianna (Austin) and Sabrina; his great grandchildren, Ansley and Bristin; his granddaughters, Haley and McKenna Amburgey; his friend Tom Hyden; his great grandchild Oakley; and also, Allanah Hurt, Ryan Boggs (Brittany) and Austin Boggs.
His contributions to the community are numerous and includes service as a Mason, a member of the Oneida Volunteer Fire Department, and athletic coach.
