With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virgil Lee Sampsell of Hazard, Kentucky, who passed away on August 17, 2023 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elige Sampsell and Murrell Stidham Sampsell. He is survived by: his wife Ann Sampsell of Busy; his sons, Virgil Wayne Sampsell (Joanna Sampsell), Ronald Lee Sampsell (Heather) and Nicholas Patrick Sampsell of Krypton; his siblings, Roger Sampsell of Hazard, Robert Sampsell of Hazard, Arthur Sampsell of Hazard, Mary Ann Akers of Hazard, Debbie Sampsell of Hazard, Louise Blansett of Hazard, Bonnie Uhl and Wanda Parker; and his grandchildren, Christopher Anthony Sampsell and Alyssa Sumner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations towards the funeral expenses.
