He was predeceased by: his parents, Cova Hamilton and Dorothy Caudill Hamilton; and his brothers, Robert, Jimmy and Forrester Hamilton.

He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Hamilton; his daughter Alison Hamilton (Kenny Turpin) of Lexington, KY; his sisters, Rhonda Cornett of Hazard, KY and Ann Caudill of Hazard, KY; his grandchildren, Morgan Huff and Hayden Fugate; and his nephew Friends.
