He was predeceased by: his parents, Junior Cornett and Belle Cornett; his sister Pearlene Burke; his parents-in-law, Doyle and Shelia Ritchie; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanette Ritchie and Ricky Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Melinda Cornett; and his siblings, James Cornett (Vicki) and Judy Cornett (Will).
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cornett Cemetery (81 Cornett Bottom, Hazard, KY 41701). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
