He is survived by: his wife Tammy Simon (Deaton); his children, Carissa McCarthy (Andrew) and James "Jimmy" Simon; his stepdaughter Stephanie Watkins; and his siblings, Rose Mathis (late Tim), Jackie Maxwell (Leland), Kate Kenney (late Gene), Shelly Zappa (Jim), Tim Simon (Rosie) and Tom Simon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
