She was predeceased by : her parents, Edgar Layhew Sr. and Rhoda Kathryn Layhew (Hedgepath). She is survived by : her husband Robert F. "Bob" Collins, Sr.; her children, Katie Casey (Bill), Emily Collins and Robert F. Collins, Jr. (Denise Minty); her siblings, Edgar Layhew, Jr. (Rena) and Dottie Hale; and her grandchildren, Shannon Doherty, Anthony Collins, Audrey Meade and Scarlett Collins.
