He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ray and Bertha Napier Ray; his wife Debbie Nipper Ray; and his siblings, Bill, Bige, Homer, Charles Ray, Mary Brock, Gracie Day, Loretta Whitehead, Arie Ray and Jean Whitehead.
He is survived by: his siblings, James Ray of Indianapolis, IN, Wayne Ray of Harlan, KY and Chloe Stewart of Putney, KY; his grandchildren, Leah, Dylan, Riley and Bentley; and his friends, Chris Williams and Rhoda Feltner Souder.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home (23185 US-421, Hyden, KY 41749). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
