She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Everheart and Helen Kersey Everheart; her former husbands, James Thomas Compton Sr. and Elder Pleas Brandon; her son James Thomas Compton Jr.; and her siblings, Allen Everheart, James Everheart, Bennie Everheart, Alenea Dixon and Florence Posey.
She is survived by: her husband John Toombs; and her daughters, Helen Miller (Timothy), Addie Smith and Gloria Jean Compton. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Abundant Life Assembly of God (5540 US High Way #41a, Henderson, KY 42420). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
