It is with sadness that the passing of Bettye Joyce Meyer of Henderson, Kentucky is shared. Bettye, born on September 28, 1934, passed away on September 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Wheeler and Pascal Wheeler; her husband Charles "Buddy" Meyer; her brother James Murray Wheeler; and her sons, Michael Claude Meyer and James Mitchell Meyer.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Janet Culver of Smith Mills, KY; her grandchildren, Chelsea Hillyard (Dillan) of Smith Mills, KY and Zachary C. Meyer of Henderson, KY; her sister Bonnie Newman of Mississippi; her great grandchildren, Nora Meyer and Buddy Hillyard; Karen and Richard Hannebauer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Belleview United Methodist Church (6160 KY-136, Henderson, KY 42420).
