He is survived by: his children, Joshua Brown of Kokomo, Jonathan Oakley (Allyson) of Henderson, Kentucky and Lynn Clements of Henderson, Kentucky; his siblings, Patricia Tyler of Henderson, Kentucky, Charlotte Smoot of Henderson, Kentucky, Tanya Carpenter of Henderson, Kentucky, Eugene Hatchett of Owensboro and Derrick D'von Butts (Allison) of Evansville, Indiana; and his close friend Marthette McGuire of Bear, Delaware.. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

He worked at Accuride, Ellis Park, and was employed as a custodian at Nazarene Baptist Church until Covid.
