He never knew a stranger. He would talk your head off if you let him. He loved more than anything to be outside and barbecue. Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter, it didn't matter to him as long as he had his family there. He could fix anything and was more than happy, too, with duct tape and spray paint. He is deeply loved and missed by all of his family and everyone who knew him.Joey is survived by his mother and stepfather; Sandra and Thomas Edwards of Caseyville, IL, his father and stepmother; John and Pat Calandro of Caseyville, IL, his great grandmother; Delphine Beatte of Collinsville, IL, four brothers; John (Misty) Calandro of Collinsville, IL, Billy (April) Calandro of Collinsville, IL, TJ Calandro of Collinsville, IL, and Tommy Calandro of Caseyville, IL, his sister; Mendi (David) West of Henderson, KY, his four children; Kelly Dunn of Highland, IL, Christopher Calandro Jr. of Henderson, KY, Alexis Calandro of Henderson, KY, and Brooke Calandro of Henderson, KY.He is also survived by Lynn Dixon, the love of his life and mother of 3 children, of Henderson, KY, and Stacy Hampton, his lifelong best friend, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.Joey was a wonderful father, grandfather, and uncle.
He is survived by his 2 beautiful grandbaby girls; Mia Ross and Emerson, 8 nieces and nephews; Gage and David Jr., Brittney, Emery, Trenton, Tytus, Waylon, Karley, and Brendan.Don't think of him as gone away his journey's just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one.Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years.Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness.
