He was predeceased by : his mother Mary Louise Willett; his grandparents, Edna and John Willett; his stepfather Wilbur Hite; and his uncle Joe Tom Willett.
He is survived by : his daughters, Erica Carson Armstrong of Louisville, KY and A'myia Smith of Henderson, KY; and his brothers, James Smith (Justina) of Henderson, KY, Jesse Smith (Judy) of Uniontown, KY and Joe Smith of Las Cruces, NM.
