He is survived by: his brother Arthur K. McKechnie (Martha) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; his children, Jamie McKechnie of Philpot, Kentucky, Mary E. Box (Dennis) of Henderson and Virginia F. McKechnie-Long of Henderson; his grandchildren, David H. Box (Amanda) of Henderson, John T. Gass (CeCe) of Henderson and Sarah Beth Gass of Henderson; and his great grandchildren, Jordan Box of Henderson, Andrew Clayton-Thomas Crouch of Henderson, Gemmason Marie Crouch of Henderson and Zayda Elizabeth-Gail Gass of Henderson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home (604 Center St, Henderson, KY 42420). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Anthony's Hospice in Henderson or South Heights Elementary School Resource Fund.
