He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Chaney and Izetta Chaney (Farmer). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Chaney; his sons, Brandon Ross Chaney (Katrina) of Springfield, VA, Dustin Eli Chaney (Cynthia) of Henderson and Winston Drew Chaney of Henderson; his grandchildren, Miles Zachary Chaney, Kylie Chinn (Eli) and Ellie Marie Chaney; his great grandchild Gentry Pate Chinn; and his brother Warren Chaney of Friendswood, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Anthony's Hospice.
