She was predeceased by: her father Edgar; her husbands, Frank Whitaker and Howard Dotson; her siblings, Margaret Gossett of JoNell Joines, J. L, Wells and Marvin Wells; her granddaughter Tracy Tyler; and her great grandchild Aidan Groves.

She is survived by: her children, Colistia Tyler of Henderson, KY, Annette Hudgions (John, Sr.) of Henderson, KY, Barbara Kirkwood (Gary) of Henderson, KY, Judy Wise of Decatur, IL, Daniel Whitaker of Oklahoma City, OK, Michael Whitaker (Gaye), Joe Whitaker of Henderson, KY and Jack Whitaker of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
