Florence Brooks Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate Florence Brooks of Henderson, Kentucky, whose life came to an end on May 24, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarah "Nealy" Brown Stanley and Lyman Stanley; and her husband Robert "Bob" Brooks. She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila Ann Glunt Stephenson, Anita Kay Biggs (Mike) of Florida and Nancy Karen Parker (Audie) of Henderson; her grandchildren, Alesha Hicks (Bobby Dean) of Henderson, Lori Hatfield (Adam) of Henderson, Michael Biggs II (Latasha) of Henderson and Kelli Ellis (Jason) of Florida; and her great grandchildren, Ethyn Hicks (Jada), Tytus Willett, Claire, Chloe Biggs, Preston, Paige Goldsberry, Evelynn, Lydia Valentine, Kennedy, Reagan, Gracelyn Hatfield, Jase, Kaleb and Logan Ellis. She is also survived by three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home (604 Center St, Henderson, KY 42420). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may also be made to St. Anthony's Hospice, 2410 South Green Street, Henderson, KY 42420, or New Hope Animal Rescue Center LLC, 526 Atkinson Street, Henderson, KY 42420, in memory of Florence.
