He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Richard Esser (Katie) of Henderson, Kentucky and Lauren Esser of Oakland, California; his brothers, Bill Esser (Lynn) of Naperville, Illinois and Dave Esser (Diane) of Naperville, Illinois; and his grandchildren, MariKate Esser and Annibel Esser. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
