It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Richard Martin of Henderson, Kentucky, who passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecilia Martin (Fitzpatrick) and Nicklaus Martin; his granddaughter Sheila Perkins (Cater); his siblings, Walter Martin, Keith Martin and Bernadine Bradley (Martin); and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Martin (Ervin) and Norman Bradley.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Joyce Kennedy (Joyce); his siblings, David Martin (Linda) and Elizabeth Bazin (Russell); his children, Kevin Martin (Mary Jane), Deborah Beavin (Jeffrey) and Shauna Boom (Doug); his grandchildren, Erin Beavin-Nall (Ryan), Nicholas Beavin, Rebecca Boom, Samantha Batts (Thomas), Kyle Boom and Nathan Boom; his great grandchildren, Paige Perkins, Austin Nall, Savannah Nall, Madelyn Zdunek and Caroline Zdunek; and his great great grandchild Phoenix Owens. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Evansville, IN or to the Father Bradley Shelter for Women and Children in Henderson, KY.
