He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethil Spainhoward and Jewell Spainhoward; his daughter Tabatha Spainhoward; and his siblings, Kay Tompkins, David, Tommy and Frankie Joel.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Rickard Spainhoward; his son Darren Spainhoward (Whitney); his sister Wanda Lou Tornatta; his sister-in-law Jennifer Hester (Leland); his grandchildren, Alex Spainhoward (Ashley) and Lauren Chavira (Zach); his great grandchildren, Crew Chavira, Estie Chavira and Beckett Spainhoward; and his niece Courtney Hester. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
