He was predeceased by: his parents, Al Hein and Mary Hein; his siblings, Margaret Borglun and William A. Hein; and his friend Billy Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Hein of Henderson, KY; his sons, Joshua Hein (Rebecca) of Henderson, KY and Jacob Hein of Owensboro, KY; his brother A. E. "Tuck" Hein (David H. Hein) of Illinois; and his grandchildren, Kevin M. Hein (Ashleigh Mrdalj) and Cassie Sisk. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
