She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Rakestraw and Vera Rakestraw; her husband Jerry Higgs; her son David Higgs; and her siblings, Lorene Westerman, Jean Shockley, Buddy Rakestraw and Parvin Rakestraw.
She is survived by: her son Wayne Higgs (Sherry) of Henderson, KY; her grandchildren, Paige Dorsey (Nate) of Woodland Park, CO and Sam Higgs of Henderson, KY; her great grandchildren, Vada, Thea and Nellie Dorsey of Woodland Park, CO; and her brother Thomas Rakestraw of Frankfort, KY. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
