She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Huston and Emma Lee Dunn; her husband Robert "Bob" Payne, Sr.; her brothers, Marvin Dunn (Dot), Jimmy Dunn and William "Billy" Dunn; her in-laws, James "June" Brandon Payne, Patricia "Pat" Katte (Bruce) and Marco Anderson; her grandson Blaise Parker Payne; and her great-nephew Nicholas "Nick" Bryce Payne.
She is survived by: her sons, Keith Payne (Lori), Bobby Payne (Gwyn), Mark Payne (Jennifer), Joey Payne (Shelley) and Jim Payne (Mandy); her sisters, Ruth Ramsey, Doris Purgeason (Robert), Rita Haire (Steve), Dottie Kirk (Roger) and Linda Green; her in-laws, Margie Dunn, Janice Fray, John Payne (Betty), Mike Payne (Nancy) and Marla Anderson; and her grandchildren, Lauren Payne, Navy (Josh), Dalton Payne (Jessica), Dakota Payne (Daphne), Clint Morris (Kelsey), Mitch Morris (Bailey), Abbey Morris, Lacey Payne (Cody), Alli Keown (Nick), Logan Payne, Aaron Payne, Alex Payne, AnnaGrace Payne, Amy Tapp (Jordan), Justin Tapp (Lexi), Dillon Payne, Delanie Storm (Jordon) and JT Payne (Maddie). She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home (629 S Green St, Henderson, KY 42420). A prayer was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (16777 KY-811, Reed, KY 42451).
