It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melanie Elaine Wright of Henderson, Kentucky, who passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Melanie Elaine is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Melanie Elaine's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her father Eddy W. Wright, Sr.; and her grandparents, Frank, Virginia Wright, Magdalene Sutton and Sterman Snodgrass.
She is survived by: her daughter Courtney Wright of Henderson, KY; her mother Shirley Wright of Henderson, KY; and her siblings, Christy Moseley of Henderson, KY, David Wright of Henderson, KY, Timothy Wright of Spottsville, KY and Eddy Wright, Jr. of Henderson, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Finley Baptist Church (3800 US-41 ALT, Henderson, KY 42420-9311). A memorial service was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
