He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lee Poindexter and Odelia Green Poindexter; his siblings, Dorris Poindexter, Ora Belle Poindexter and Robert Poindexter; and his son Norris "Green Eyes" Poindexter, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Poindexter of Henderson, KY, Tina Poindexter of Evansville, IN, Christa Wilson of Henderson, KY and Shawn Wilson of Henderson, KY; and his sister Sandra Poindexter of Henderson, KY. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home (629 S Green St, Henderson, KY 42420). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
