She was predeceased by: her daughter Madalyn Carolene Shelton; her father Larry Wayne Shelton; her grandmother Lucille Shelton; and her great-grandparents, Harry and Charlotte Felty.
She is survived by: her daughter Clara Wallace of Henderson, KY; her mother Carolene Denton (Jeff) of Benton Harbor, MI; her close friend Brandon Shutt; her grandmother Brenda Young of Henderson, KY; her brothers, Marcus Shelton (Melissa) of Evansville, IN and Kyle Shelton (Jama) of Morganfield, KY; her stepsiblings, Vicki Clements (Eric) of Union County, KY and Scott Denton (Tandy) of Henderson, KY; her half-sister April Shelton (Monica) of Dallas, TX; and also Wyatt of Henderson, KY. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home (629 S Green St, Henderson, KY 42420). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Clara Wallace scholarship fund at Old National Bank.
