She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Thompson and Ruth Thompson; her husband Hugh Ellis Ligon; and her sister Martha Lou Reed. She is survived by: her children, Brian E. Ligon (Lisa) of Reed, KY and Susan Spainhoward (David Spainhoward) of Spottsville; her brother Owen Eugene Thompson (Faye) of Casper, Wyoming; and her grandchildren, Mark Spainhoward (Brandy), Cari Chrostowski (Chris) and Callie Hope (Matt). She is also survived by six great grandchildren; two sisters in law and several nieces and nephews.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to New Hope Baptist Church or St. Anthony's Hospice.
