He was predeceased by: his parents, John Haines and Audrey Haines; his wife Marlene Haines; his brothers, Kenneth and Philip Haines; and his granddaughter Hadleigh Hogan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Audrey Wedding (Josh) of Robards, KY, Charlene Martin of Sebree, KY and Jamie Haines of Henderson, KY; his brothers, John Haines (Lorraine) of Holtsville, NY, Robert Haines (Patti) of Babylon, NY, Douglas Haines of Lindenhurst, NY, Stephen Haines (Virginia) of Babylon, NY and Joseph Haines (Michele) of Babylon, NY; his sisters-in-law, Ann Haines of Corydon, KY and Mary Haines; his grandchildren, Austin Wildman (Angel), Morgan Wedding (Jaden), Madison Wedding (Shaun), Kristopher Madden, Kameron Madden, Jayce Goldsberry, Lillian Martin, Charleigh Messamore and Marleigh Messamore; and his great grandchildren, Brantlee, Nova, Luna, Evelyn, Abel and Gwen.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home (629 S Green St, Henderson, KY 42420). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
