He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Smith and Ruby Smith (Biggs); and his siblings, James Wesley Smith and Ann Gaines. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Melton Smith; and his siblings, Sidney Smith (Mindy Pulido) of Florida, Steve Smith (Darla) of Henderson and Faye Griffith (Barry) of Nashville, TN.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
