She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Benton and Olga Benton; her husband B. R. "Bob" Payne; her sons, Dan Payne and Bernard Joseph Payne; her brothers, Thomas "Sonny" Benton and Barry David Benton; her grandson Jack Payne; and her great grandchild Isaac McFarland.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Stroud (John) of Henderson, Kentucky, Bob Payne (Janie) of Dover and Rick Payne (Lynn) of Henderson, Kentucky; and her daughter-in-law Kay Payne of Evansville. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home (604 Center St, Henderson, KY 42420). A prayer was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Jesus Catholic Church (511 2nd St, Henderson, KY 42420).
