He is survived by: his wife Teressa Pirtle; his children, Robert "Robby" Pirtle (Meagan) and Shawn Pirtle (Chrystal); his stepchildren, Jessica Scranton (AJ), Bradley Samples, Matthew Samples and Heather Samples (Jay); and his brothers, Randall "Randy" Pirtle (Donna) and James "Billy" Pirtle Jr.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
