She was predeceased by : her parents, James A Hunter and Sarah Mae Hunter (Schembra); her former life partner John Mathews of August; her husband Dan Cartwright, Jr.; and her stepgrandson Brandon Canaday.
She is survived by : her children, Jane Jackson (Paul) of Union City, John Mathews (Jeannie) of Hickman, Kentucky and Jeremy Mathews of Hickman, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Jonah Mathews (Riley) of Union City, Sarah Mathews of Union City, Jessica Edmaiston (Dalton) of Union City, Christina Scarbrough (Linden) of Troy, Jennifer Jackson of Troy, Jada Mathews of Hickman, Kentucky and Jason Mathews of Hickman, Kentucky; her great grandchildren, Hailey Isbell of Union City and Ryker Edmaiston of Union City; her stepdaughters, Joyce Lawrence (Scott) of South Fulton, Cindy McWhorter (Rick) of South Fulton, Diana Finch (Marty) of St. Louis, Missouri and Debe Canaday (Bob) of St. Louis, Missouri; and her siblings, Mary Jane Fowler of Union City, Charlotte Willett of Union City, James Louis Hunter of Hickman, Loyd Hunter of Troy, Freddie Hunter of Union City, Samuel Hunter of Union City and Ricky Hunter of Dover, Arkansas. She is also survived by 15 step grandchildren; 27 step great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
