He is survived by: his wife Edwina Harmon Dobson; his children, Audrea Kathryn Sherman (Butch Sherman), Robert Flournoy Simpson IV (Ashlie Pirtle Simpson) and Shawna Sue Henrichsmeyer (Michael Henrichsmeyer); his grandchildren, Haylie Nicole Sherman, Addison Taylor Sherman, Reece Campbell Sherman, Robert Flournoy Simpson V, Landon Jarratt Simpson, Hagan Lee Henrichsmeyer and Heston Michael Henrichsmeyer; and his sister Cornelia Sue Simpson Mims.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cayce Methodist Church (195 KY-94, Fulton, KY 42041). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
