He was predeceased by: his parents, Nasby Merida and Della Merida (Baker); his brothers, Junior Merida, Charlie Merida, Rudy Merida, Frank Merida, Ernest Dean Merida and Lonnie Merida; his grandson Carlin Merida; his parents-in-law, Wesley and Ollie Jordan; and his brother Jack Jordan (Gracie Garland).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Jordan of Hinkle; and his children, Earnest Dean Merida (Jeanne) of Land O' Lakes, Lonnie Merida (Melissa) of Cambridge City, Sonja Sifrit (Robbie) of Punta Gorda, Gail Yother (Deber) of Rockholds and Randy Merida (Tamara) of Mazomanie, Wisconsin.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
