He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxey Wells and Annie Pearl Nunn Wells; and his siblings, Elizabeth Wells, Janice Fancher, Frances Turner, Wilma Rucker, Carol Griswold, Glendon, Donnie, Kenny and Herb Wells.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Wells; his daughters, Jessica Wells of New Haven and Kasey Foster (Toni) of Crab Orchard, Tennessee; his stepson Josh Claywell of Hodgenville; his grandchildren, Jaden, Levi and Hudson; his siblings, Rita Heath (Bill) of Upton, Sharon Wells of Munfordville and Doug Wells of Elizabethtown; and his siblings-in-law, Shannon Ballough (Kent) of Radcliff and Nathan Skaggs of Brownsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
