He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Leslie and Elizabeth Rebecca Wilkinson Davis; his brother-in-law Ray Shoemaker; and his niece Melissa Hunter Whittemore. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Davis; his son Donnie Davis, Jr. (Teleana); his sisters, Donna Hunter (Allen) and Carolyn Shoemaker; his grandsons, Noah Davis (Madison), Caden Davis and Madden Davis; his nephews, Dale Hunter (Alana) and Kevin Shoemaker (Emily); and his niece Michelle Nolan (Jason).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home (9025 New Jackson Hwy, Magnolia, KY 42757). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Mt. Zion Separate Baptist Church (2361 Mt Zion Church Rd, Magnolia, KY 42757).
