She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Cowan and Myra Cowan of Indiana; her husband Paul; her siblings, Verna Faye Cowan, Imogene Cowan, Rosa Denton, Alberta Bailey, Fisher Cowan and Alvis Cowan; and her son Sherman Darnell.
She is survived by: her sister Alene Burton; her daughter-in-law Robyn Edwards (John); and her granddaughters, LaShonda Darnell and Lisa Nunn-Coleman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and close friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM and on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Hosparus of Central Ky.
