He is survived by: his wife Margie Skaggs Gardner; his son Gary Dean Gardner (Neysa) of Hodgenville; and his grandchildren, Augusta and Avery Allen Gardner.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Red Hill Cemetery (315 S Greensburg St, Hodgenville, KY 42748).
