She was predeceased by: her husband James Carter; her parents, Albert Bishop and Christine Montgomery Bishop; and her brothers, Herman Bishop and Gary Melton.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Grant of Hodgenville, Willa Dean Serrano of Brandenburg, Ricky Carter of Hodgenville, Tommy Melton of Hodgenville and Gerald Benjamins of Hodgenville; and her brother Billy Bishop of Hodgenville. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
