We announce the death of William Wesley McDonald of Hodgenville, Kentucky, who passed away on August 5, 2026. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Jean Dixon McDonald; his parents, William Henry and Bernice Sturgeon McDonald; his siblings, Jane Clark, Glenda Burba and Joe David McDonald; and his grandson Brice Acree.
He is survived by: his daughters, Doris Jean Holleran and Joyce Lynn Acree (Doug); his siblings-in-law, Tom Burba, Pam McDonald and Joel R Dixon (Kitty); his grandsons, Sean Wesley (Lucas) and Addison (Bianca); his great grandchild Theo; and his caregiver Allison. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Partners in Development Water Project in Zambia, Africa. Donation information will be available at the funeral home.
