He was predeceased by: his parents, Farris Lee Abbott and Thelma Abbott (Duke); his wife Doris Jean Abbott (Newton); and his brother Ronald F. Abbott. He is survived by: his sons, Troy Abbott of Cadiz, KY and Joseph R. Abbott of Christian County, KY; his siblings, Johnny Abbott of Hopkinsville, KY and Nancy Duke of Hopkinsville, KY; and his sister-in-law Clara Abbott of Hopkinsville, KY. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
